Ok, obviously there's been a whole lot more... but I really can't think right now cause I have a pile of paperwork that I really should be attending to at the moment..

I am just recovering from a little sudden neck stiffness that I suffered last week... but now I'm getting back on track again...

So yes. This will get me in to shape. 

Today is actually the first day of the Swim Squad training. Looking forward to it.
Oh and Guess what, I'm finally signing up to do my scuba certificate. Yes blog. I said I'd do it. So I'm doing it whoop whoop!

What else.... It's been great, all the moments that made this summer what it was... was just wonderful...
It's not over yet though... I am looking forward to a little bit of 'real' summer... looking to book a trip to Egypt for next week....

Bring me sunshine and water...and beaches...and water sports..and ..yea... I'll be happy with that :)

Very soon...

I'll be updating...

It has been crazy ever since February... :S

From Henweekend in Barcelona to superbusy times at work, to a wedding, to My Birthday weekend to Moving.. baaah! You name it I done it...

It's been really, really really. Like. REHEHEHEEAALLY Busy. Last week it all caught up with me and I just zoned out completely. Drained.

But now I'm getting back on track again..... signed up for a few sport events.

First one coming up in June - Warrior Dash. Will come in and write more about whats been happening later on today I hope.....

Wanderlust!

So, Nagadef and Hola Friends! Don't be upset with me, I know you've been loogging in every day waiting for my update haha and I know I've been away a long time but really, once I finally have the time to fill you in on all the amazingness.. you'll say.. it's aaalll goood!..
Well, right now, I dont really have the time but AWESOMG Is the best word I could use to describe the past few weeks!

I've been travelling a whole lot.. From Senegambia, To Banjul, To Bakau to Cape Point to London to Barcelona to back home.. ( that's still only 3 countries hahaha)

Gambia - 3 words. I LOVE LIFE! The fact that I got the chance to make such a humbling trip really made me grateful, and I was surrounded by love and family.
We were made beautiful dinners and shared great moments!
People always say I smile & laugh all the time so what other place would suit me more than the SMILING COAST!? (Excluding Brazil, Cape Verde, Amalfi Coast and all the places I wanna dive )
The beaches, sunshine, food, music and getting high just of of breathing...lmao!
Gambia , you have a warm place in my heart!

Barcelona - 1 word. AWESOME!!
The people, the fun, the laughs, the music, the wather, the shops, the city... what more could you want?.. Oh and amazing company!?

CAN NOT WAIT TO TRAVEL MORE!

What else. So... I've had a long holiday break from the gym OBVIOUSLY..
But Im back now, picking up from where I left off.

I'm ready.

Gym. Yup. Still walking the talk #Week 3 **Update

Hey hey hey,

I have 6 minutes to write, I decided to do it now quickly while I'm in the mood....

Not gonna write food diary, cause I've lost the folder lol, but I've been okay except for a sandwich dinner and 2 oreos...

So..
Mon: Rested
Tue: 7pm Body combat - 1h
Wed:7am Boxing circuits - 1h
Thu:7am Spin - 50min + 7pm Body Combat - 50min
Fri7am Body pump - 1h + 7pm - 10 min CT level 8 , 20 min Vcore, 2.5k on treadmill 2% incline
Sat: Box circuits - 1h + Bootcamp - 1h + Zumba - 1h
(3hrs took it out of me, hard but good, had a niiice long nap after)
Sunday: Body balance - 1h + 45 min AquaFitness

** I normally rest weekends but this week was quite chilled, so I'm doing a few classes over the weekend to make up for it.
Also...I am realising more and more the importance of determination and following through. Week after week. 
The people who make their life goals are those who followed through on small, simplistic tasks efficiently, effectively and most importantly: consistently.

Thursday, Thursday , Thursday... Weekend Life.

Hey hey hey lovely blog readers aka myself!

So, another week has passed and eehmm... shit, I have quite a lot to write.. lemme get to business...

Friday last week I decided to chill after work cause I had worked out quite a lot and I had my girl Lena coming over for a girly night so we decided to just chill and have a nice meal and some healthy treats, which we did..
Night consisted of a whole lotta talking and yummy treats until we crashed out watching friends...

Sat morning we woke up and had a yummy breakfast & watched RAW - Will always love Eddie <3
Noticing the berry trend... ? lol..

After that I went off to Daniellas for the bridesmaidsfitting, which went great - Wedding only 2 months away. Tick tock.... And yes, she is turning into Bridezilla.. But She'll be a gorgeous Bridezilla lol..
Went to bed really early.. 12 ish...

Sunday morning I woke up and had a lovely breakfast with Feven, we woke up around 10am and were really productive, laundry, cleaning , the lot... Major housewife points to us YAY! lol....

After that I went to the docs to get my 4th.. yes 4th as in FOURTH injection, needle inserted into my arm to protect me from Hep a&b, damn all these things. Awful... I also got my malaria tablets... but hey, soon I'll be all ready for my African Sunshine baby!! BRRIING IT! Gambia here I come - I'm doin a Safari for sure :)

Once I had the injections done I hurried home , got changed and went over to Emirates to see Arsenal vs Manchester United. Great game but Arsenal lost, and as we have an Arsenal box I feel obliged to support them, at least those moments.... they are starting to grow on me though :)

Food was served, but I was good.. Stuck to healthy options :)

After the game I hurried home again - Yodit my lovely friend, came over to try curlers in my hair, she claimed it would work and that I'd get big locks.. I was like heelll naaa, it won't work on my hair, it just WILL NOT......
IT WORKED!!



And I love it, going to get my own set of curlers, need to learn, will learn to do this myself.. :)
Completely different look , but I like it :)


Now, that was my weekend.

Will write about how my gymweek has been tomorrow :)

Took me a while...

To find my motivation again... but after 2011 I realized....

Consistency brings result #Week2 #AlotToRead

Hello hello hellooo!!!

So, wow, what a week!

2nd week back in the game baby!!!

I've honestly been supergood (YAY ME! )... but I have a bit of catching up to do so let me start from last week..

Friday after work I just chilled, went home to Fatimas and just had a good ol catch up. Around 1am ( night) we started talking about fitness and she introduced a certain device (sounds hilarious lmao) to me, which makes your stomach muscles cramp up and basically forces your abs to do the equivalent of 800 situps in an hour, im not sure if it's that efficient but I did feel the abs working... had me cracking up though, super tickly!
Sat morning I got spoiled by Tima, she made me a lovely nutritionous omelette and then I headed off to meet with Fev. We viewed some flats in Southeast, we said thanks but no thanks. :)

In the eve me and Elena went to a little housegathering which was cool, Sunday was super relaxed and I just chilled... BUT for some reason Monday came and I was super tired, I couldnt get it in me to wake up and go the gym, nor did I make it to the gym in the afternoon.

Nevertheless.. this was my week...

Monday
Food : 5/10
Chicken breast (no skin), 0.5dl couscous and salad
Mini portion of that in the eve (cheated and had 4 pieces of chocolate)
Was supertired. Fell asleep at 9 and slept for 11 hours... Perfection!
Gym:
Too tired...too damn tired.

Tuesday
Food:7/10
Chicken fillet, 0.5dl couscous and salad
Mini portion of that in the eve
Snacked on a few figs and brazil nuts
Gym:
1hour Body Combat

Wednesday :
Food: 8/10
Porridge no milke honey & banana (half)
Tuna salad, 1 egg (white only) 0.5dl couscous
Cottage cheese and tuna in the eve
Snack on figs and brazil nuts
Protein bar after Gym
Gym:
Morning - Boxing circuits 1 hour
Evening - PUNCH 45 minutes (Shadow boxing, pad work, abs)

Thursday:
Food: 9/10
Legpiece Jerk chicken (No skin) Salad
Evening tuna salad w cottage cheese + apple (before)
Snacked on raspberries with no fat greek natural yoghurt + figs
Gym:
Morning - 50 minute spin with Alan Terminator
Evening -  15 min CT + 50 min Body combat

Friday
Food:7/10 So far...
Greek no fat natural yoghurt w. raspberries and banana
Steamed vegetables, few (6-7) pieces of calamari, few pieces of chicken, (no skin) (2)
Gym:
Morning - 50 min Body Pump

Addition: I have only been drinking water and green tea.
That's it for this week... Feeling like im getting my motivation back. My goal right now is to work on getting in SOME shape before my holiday on the 9th... then keep it up whilst im away, and then improve ( and stay there) once I'm back.
Feeling good right now, makes me annoyed that I even lost the drive and motivation... but thats the way the cookie crumbles... but now I'm getting rid of the cookie.. in fact .. WHAT COOKIE???

Oh.... I've taken some pics of my culinary treats over this and past week, not much but it gives you an idea of what the diet looks like... :)

The real tests however are over the weekends....pffff...... but i'm gonna manage :)

This is probably how it's going to be looking for a while... I might have a bit more carbs over the weekend or treat myself to some bread and some pasta...

But so far so good.... I'm feeling strong :)

Fabulous Fridays...

Sooo.. pfff... WHAT. A. WEEK!

I started this week and let me tell you, it has been realllllllllllllyyyyyy challenging..

Most difficult bits have been the food and waking up early.

But this is what its looked like.. overall..

Monday
Food : 6/10
Salmon and cauliflower/broccoli mash... (cheated and had 2 mini chocs)
In the eve I had some tuna salad.
Gym:
50 minutes R.P.M - Spin

Tuesday
Food:7/10
Salmon & cauliflower/broccoli mash x 2 portions
Gym:
3mile run (5k)

Wednesday :
Food: 4/10
Salmon & cauliflower/broccolimash
Crayfish sandwich + 2 slices of white bread at home.
Gym - REST DAY
(30 situps + 10 pressups at home whilst cooking and watching SATC) hahaha

Thursday:
Food: 9/10
5 pieces of mince (mini pannbiffar) and steamed spinach and salad. x 2
orange and grapes. Small intake.
Gym:
Morning - 3km run 20 min slowpace
Evening - 50 min Body combat

Friday
Food:7/10 So far...
Piece of chicken with steamed vegetables ( broccholi, zucchini)
Cheated and had one milky way ( tiny)
Gym:
Morning - 50 Min bodypump + 15 min Crosstrainer
Evening - If I go it will be for a run. Will let you know.

Pics of my home made meals to come.. FYI I'm doing extremely well at work today, I only ordered a healthy lunch, AND we had a birthday and I didn't touch the cake.. OR the champagne... so tut tut to me!! :) Sparkling water all the way... :)

Now I've had a taste of the 3 weeks I have ahead of me... I'm ready baby!!

Buenos Dias... :D / Motivation Monday

Helloooo!! :)

Sooo, we all know what day it is, it's the day of the week where I with one eye log on to my bb before antyhing to update my status on FB to MOTIVATION MONDAY!
Why you ask? Because I want to, because I like it because... it motivates ME :D Simples!

However, This is Day 1 of Week 1. And I was meant to go to the gym early morning, however, due to an incredibly productive weekend ( will fill in later) I ended up going to bed later than intended so the alarm going off at 6am wasnt a winner.

BUT, I have been eating really well today, except for 3 small choc treats, so bad. But I gotta admit my flaws as well, it's not easy when it's hard but I'ma punish myself today dont worry.

Weekend was chilled ish - Friday night I went window shopping by myself, it was nice and relaxing (I've been inspired by Sophie Kinsellas shopaholic books lol...
Then when I got home Fev had gotten some DVD's.. we opted for The back up plan with J.LO... I don't care how cheesy it is. That first date he takes her on....#todiefor
They don't make em like that anymore.. booohoo... :(

Anywho, Saturday morning I woke up and went straight to the docs to get my travel vaccinations done. 3 injections, THREE needles in my poor arms. Yellow fever , Hep a + b and Typhoid... and I have 2 more to go back for. Help me.... my arm is hurting as we type... lol
Anyway, after that, I went home, met with Fev had lunch at Nandos been a while.. then we went sainsburys, then home, and then all of a sudden we felt super tired lol...
So we had a nap... from around 5ish to 8ish.... it was amazing.

Around 8 we started to attack the mountain of laundry... and around 12 we had finished 2/3 .. yay us!
Now, we were content with todays productivity, so we thought we'd just spend the rest of sat night cozying up n watching some dvd's... what happens my friends...? TELL ME PLEASE!?

The damn cable thing charger breaks to my laptop..... CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!? OUT OF NOWHERE! So we sat there, staring at the screen in disbelief...
Only one thing to do...
Yup, and it was a beautiful night :)

So... I fell asleep shortly after that, oh let me add, Feven, ever the fighter.. was refusing to let technology beat her so she was sitting and watching news on her BB hahahaha.. gotta love it!

Sunday consisted of me travelling aaaalllll the way to South London to get my eyebrows done - again you may ask.. WHY? Because... this woman is the best.. and she and my eyebrows have a special bond. That is all.
**Thanks Elena for being my travelphone companion those 4 something hours hahaha

I met up with Fev in Sainsburys for some more food shopping and then we went home, did some more laundry, and I cooked my lunches for the week...

Salmon and cauliflower & broccoli mash with my salad was on todays menu. DELISH!
All me, home made and super nutritionous. Hardly any carbs baby :)... this is a good start for my healthy week... :)
So now, its about 17.55 and I was contemplating doing BMF today but I dont have the gear for it with me, so I'ma do R.P.M and then some time on the cross trainer. Will fill in later.

New Year - 2012

Hi Blog,

End of 2011 was tumultuous to say the least...

A lot of things happened towards the end of the year , phew, too much to go through...

But I'm trying to pick up where I left off in an improved manner and just keep kicking.

This week is my getting into it week. I was meant to start gym and all but Ive just felt a bit de-motivated for some reason. Weird.

Have a lot of things on my mind and you know how it is , January is reflection mode, thinking about last year and what could have been done different/better and what changes I wanna make for this year.

I have a lot of things to look forward to this year...so Cheers to that! 2012 is going to be a year of change.

Now, I just need to get myself to the gym and stop with all these excuses of being too tired or/and too busy... if its one thing I hate is when my mind gets a bit.. lazy. Ok yes, I said it. Thats it.
As soon as it changes ima get back and let you know, I'm always on about motivation this and that..but hey... I gotta be honest about when I'm not that...won't last long.
I'm building up the mindset...building building building....

In the meantime, earlier today I was browsing online/working..and came across this quote, and what better quote to live by in 2012.

It just sums everything up.
